obsessed

i have been frustrated for quite some time on how to decorate brody and brooklyn's shared room. i mean you cant go too girly with colors but you also can go to boyie...i know not a word...but you know what i mean. i have been working on their room for over a year now and nothing seemed right. i would dream about colors and go one direction and then hate it. that is until i found this picture....now i am obsessed with it! i love everything about this picture! and most of the stuff can be found at a yard sale or thrift store and turned into something wonderful. so now my challenge is recreating this room and a tight budget. i just have to say though that i am totally and completely obsessed with this picture....it is too cute for words!

henry and chanelle

while in arizona we had the chance to get together with henry and chanelle. chanelle is josh's best friends wife...if that makes sense. the kids were so fun together and it was nice to catch up with chanelle. she is so fun to be with and her little boy is too cute. he is all boy and go go go. aaron and chanelle are expecting baby number two and we are so excited for them. thanks so much chanelle for coming out and seeing us.

its finally here

today is a big day for our family. we have worked so hard to get to today. sacrificing time together as a family so that daddy could study. josh has worked so hard and done everything he set out to do in studying for the boards. i am so incredibly proud of him. i am grateful for how hard he works for our family. now, it is in the Lord's hands. we have been so guided to this point and i am sure we will continue to be through out the rest of our journey in medical school. i love you josh with all my heart. thank you for all you do for me.

what do you do in the summer time in arizona with your a kids... play with lots of water!
for the past two months josh has been studying hard core for step 1 of the boards. when i say he has been studying hard core (we are talking 13-15 hour days). the first few days of it i had a melt down. i needed help, so to grandmothers house we went. the kids and i had so much fun with our family. there was a lot to do to keep us busy....tyler's seminary graduation, tyler's graduation, memorial day bbq, playing with cousins, visiting with friends, and going to the temple for myself. we had such a wonderful time and feel so fortunate to have such a great family that loves us and takes us in to their home to help me out...and lift our spirits. thank you so much scott and karen for letting us come and see everyone. we truly had a great time.

the poor kids were so hot and there was like no water coming out of the ground at this splash pad, i felt bad for all the kids. although, brookie still managed to get wet, while brody sat on time out the entire time!

grandpa went to costco and got a big jar of cheese balls...grandpa instantly became brookie's best friend. brody and tyler had fun playing a game of fetch with these. brody would attempt to though it in the air and tyler would dive and catch it in his mouth. it was quite fun to watch.

grandma and brody are the best of friends. brody just loves to spend time with grandma and sit in her room with her and talk, build lincoln logs, anything grandma does makes brody so happy.

look at that cute maddie! maddie just turned one and she will soon have a little sister or brother. we are so excited for jamie and chris. whenever we come to stay aunt jamie always spoils the kids rotten. they love it!

and this is maddies other mom...haha. kristin is one of the very few people maddie loves and adores. maybe someday i will win maddie over.

tyler and brody. tyler is so good to brody. he does whatever brody wants. i feel so lucky to have tyler in brody's life. he is such a great uncle and a great guy. some girl will be very lucky to marry him in the future. we love ya ty!
