We will be enjoying our spring break in the sun and having fun with family. I leave you all with a picture of Brookie playing catch. Ta ta for now!

Puddle Jumpin Fun

It has been raining non stop for almost three days now...which means lots of puddles. What better to do with puddles than to jump in them!

Brody's first LOVE

I would like to introduce you to Brody's first girlfriend....Taylor. He absolutely loves Taylor and loves to play with her. Taylor is about a year older than him and the two of them get into too much trouble together. Brody met Taylor about a month and a half ago when I started having a play date each week for moms in our ward and the med school moms. Well one of our friends in our ward is not yet a mom but she nannys for Taylor and her sister and she asked if she could come too. We of course said she could and ever since Brody laid eyes on Taylor they have been in love. Brody cries for Taylor when he doesnt get to see her. She today wanted to wear this dress just for him and wanted to wear these hair clips just for him. They are quite cute together because their relationship is a love/hate one. Sadly Taylor's nanny and our friends are moving to Hawaii in two weeks so Brody doesnt know it yet but he probably wont see Taylor ever again. First love and first break up all in one. Poor guy!

I read this on one of my friends blogs and thought that it was so important I wanted to post it on my blog. I have wrote a letter of complaint to HBO about this upcomming show and I encourage you to do so as well. It breaks my heart to see the world we are living in now and how spiritual things are treated so lightly. Hopefully if enough people protest against this show then they will not air it. Thank you.

Many of you may have heard of HBO's television show, Big Love. It came out a couple of years ago, and it shows polygamous families. When it first came out, the church came out with a strong statement against Big Love and Polygamy. You can see the statement here: http://www.newsroom.lds.org/ldsnewsroom/eng/commentary/church-responds-to-questions-on-hbo-s-big-love

However, as if the polygamy weren't bad enough, HBO has taken their unscrupulousness to new heights.

On Sunday, March 15, 2009, HBO will be airing a segment of their Big Love series that will show individuals dressed in full temple clothing (you can see the pictures right in the TV guide itself), and they are planning on recreating the temple ordinances on public television. They have an ex-member of the church that is helping them make this ceremony as authentic as possible (you can see even from the pictures they have posted how closely they have replicated the clothing).
Please help stop HBO from airing such an offensive show! You can go to the link below to submit a comment to HBO.

http://www.hbo.com/apps/submitinfo/contactus/submit.do?title=GeneralInformation&questiontype=generalInformation&questiontype=general

It's imperative that we get as many people to voice their complaints as possible before HBO airs the show. Please pass this information on to as many people as you can!

If you are not a member of the LDS church, we invite you to learn about our church and out temples from a true source: http://www.mormon.org/

PLEASE take some time and contact HBO.
Thank you!

FUN FILLED SATURDAY

on Saturday we were able to get up to see the federal triangle---williamsburg, jamestown, yorktown. we had such a fun time. we started out in jamestown since that is the place we have both never seen before. below are the pictures from our adventure at jamestown. we then headed over to williamsburg for lunch and some more sight seeing. i convinced josh to eat at the cheese shop which in my opinion has the most amazing oh so yummy sandwiches. after williamsburg we headed to yorktown. i went there with my parents but josh never got to see it so i showed him around and pretended to be a good tour guide. after yorktown josh let me go to the outlet mall in williamsburg and although i didnt buy a single thing it was still fun to look and just enjoy the fabulous weather we were having that day. after our long day i drove home and i think i pushed my family to there limits by going to the outlet mall because brookie screamed for about 45 minutes on the drive home, brody was screaming at her, and i was stressed to my max. all in all it was a great fun filled weekend.

FUN FILLED FRIDAY NIGHT

So this weekend was really spectacular. Josh finished a test Thursday and felt like he could take a break from studying so this weekend was fabulous. I will start off with Friday night when he got home we had dinner plans at Bishops house and right before we left I took some pictures of the fam. The third one down is our lame attempt at a family picture. This was the best we could get with somewhat all of us looking. Oh well. We love our kids so much and we had such a fun time at Bishops house playing games and eating yummy food.

Sunday

Link to Jeans

So after many requests from all my fellow shorties here is the link to learn how to hem your jeans. Good luck. http://www.daciaray.com/?p=38

Tuesday

jeans, jeans, oh how i love you

after (up above)

before (up above...i know i should have changed the pictures around but i was lazy)

what can i say i am a jean type of gal. always have been and probably always will be. dont get me wrong i have tried on many other styles of pants...carpi's, khakis, colored ones, silky ones, patterned ones, you get my point. but i can never find a pair of pants besides jeans that fit me well. if you have suggestions please send them my way. anyways, i love jeans and there is nothing like finding a great pair of jeans that you love, buying them, and then oh crap....i have to get them altered because lets face it as much as i would love to be a beautiful supermodel like my older sister Alyssa or my youngest sister Taylor....its just not in the cards for me, maybe in the eternities but not in this lifetime. So because i have the inability to grow anymore and i am short forever i need to alter my jeans. i have always paid mega bucks to get them altered at Nords and to be honest i am sick of it. so i googled how to alter jeans and keep the original hem and poof (i love google!) there are directions on how to do it. so as nervous as i was i tried it and IT ACTUALLY WORKED!!! no more shelling out money because i am a professional....okay jk. but i am proud of how they turned out and in the future i will not be paying for this service.
but seriously i would love another pair of pants besides jeans particularly gray or navy that fit good. if you know where i can buy some let me know! i will love you forever.

the many faces of brooklyn and brody....oh and i guess me too

Not much to say about all the pictures just that I was having too much fun with the camera and the kids were in a picture taking mood....for once.
