Last Day in Provo

Well today is our last day in Provo. It is kind of bitter-sweet. Sad because we are leaving so many wonderful friends behind, amazing memories that were made here, and my siblings. Exciting because we are moving on to another chapter of our lives. The condo is packed up and we will be off in the morning. I have my last doctors appointment with my favorite doctor in the whole wide world today. Hopefully everything will look good and he will tell me good news. So because of the many things we have to do today I will post Josh and Brody's camping adventure after we move. We will be in Washington for a few weeks so I will not get to post for awhile. Until then we love you all.

Time Alone

Well today is a hard day for me...Josh took Brody camping up in Idaho until Sunday so that leaves me by myself for the first time in 3 years. It is really weird to be at home and not have Brody needing something from me. It makes me remember what really matters in this life and how we never have a moment to waste when we are with our loved ones. We should always show them and tell them how much they are loved. Needless to say I am lonely but my mom told me to take advantage of the time that they are gone because I will not get it again for a long time. So my plan of attack to keep me busy and distracted...
1. Finish packing up the condo
2. Finish cleaning the condo
3. Try to find a baby blessing dress for Brooklyn
4. Sleep, sleep and more sleep (hopefully!)
5. Have some girl time to do my nails, get my hair done, etc.

Moving

Packing up the condo has been quite the task with an almost two year old. He loves to do everything his dad is doing. He always has to have a tool in his hand now, and he pretends to screw things together. I love these pictures of the two of them. I have to say that Josh couldn't be more proud of his son. He loves Brody so much and is glad that Brody has become quite the daddy's boy!

More Arizona Pictures

Playing with Grandma was lots of fun! Brody just loves his Grandma!
We took cheesy photos!
Brody's favorite part was of course playing with the dogs.
As you can see he even kissed them "open mouth" a few times.
Those dogs are very loved by Brody. They probably received more attention than ever before.

Arizona

Well for the past week we have been in Arizona for a surprise visit to Josh's family. It was Josh's Dad's 50th Birthday and we just couldn't miss it! So here are some fun pictures of what we did while we were there. We played with Ellie lots and lots!
Dad took Brody swimming in Grandma and Grandpa's pool.
Mostly Brody just watched though while everyone else swam. His favorite part was watching everyone go off the diving board including Ellie!
Brody bossed everyone around...especialy his Uncle Tyler!

We took Brody to a new outdoor shopping area just so he could run through the fountain which he didnt quite know whether to like it or hate it!

Seven Peaks

We took Brody to Seven Peaks a couple weeks ago and I haven't had a chance to post the pictures yet. He had a great time. He was timid at first but ended up wanting "more more more!" We took him down the big tube water slides with us. He loved it! I have to say his favorite part of the day though was probably jumping on the tube outside of the pool. Josh hates water parks and swimming so to please his wife he said he would go with me once before we move. Don't I have such a wonderful husband?!

Oh those LAZY summer days!

Today I needed to get out of the house so Brody and I headed to our community pool for the first time this summer. Last summer he loved it, today he was a little more timid about everything. Josh got done with work early so I begged him to come swimming...something he hates to do with a passion. We ended up having a fun time despite Brody's not so happy mood. We took him down the big slides a couple of times and he didn't really know what to think about it. All in all it was just fun to be together as a family.

Eating Doughnuts

When Brody is grumpy, we tend to give in to him and let him eat whatever he wants. He is a very picky eater and I have had a really hard time getting him to eat because he is always sooo busy he just does not want to stop to eat food. So when I cant get him to eat anything all day, I resort to giving him whatever he wants. Today we went to the grocery store and had fresh doughnuts.

Friday

Brody wearing Mom's sunglasses

Brody hates when the sun gets in his eyes and he starts to scream. So today I gave him my sunglasses and he thought he was way cool. He has his own pair but he wont wear them.

Brody's first of many bloody knees

Brody got his first knee scrap today. I cannot believe we have made it this far without one. He was a tough little boy though as you can see from the other pictures. He was actually mad at the cement for causing him pain.

I would like to introduce you to Brody's best friend...Doggie

This is Doggie and Brody. Unfortunately, this was a baby shower gift that I hated the most...Brody found it one day and now "doggie" is a part of our family. He comes with us almost everywhere and Brody cannot sleep at night with out him. Brody actually likes to carry him around during the day by biting on doggie's nose. Every morning I have to give doggie a kiss and say "Good morning doggie!" If I dont doggie ends up in my face while I am still waking up.

Trip to the Aquarium

After spending a few days stuck at home last weekend with a sick kid, we decided to try and attempt to make him happy so we took him to the Living Planet Aquarium. Now I would not really call it an aquarium it is more like an old grocery store converted into a building that has some fish in it....but Brody liked it. He once again would not look at the camera for the picture.
He really liked the brightly colored fish
Josh says he wants an aquarium like this someday
Just some more cool looking fish
