fathers day

brody's present to his daddy was a picture of us at the beach. we had just gone the day before and had a blast body surfing in the waves.

i made matching ties for the boys and a hair bow for brookie.

daddy of course needed breakfast in bed and these breakfast burritos are truly a MAN's breakfast!

brooklyn also colored josh a picture and wrapped it herself. she also hid it in her sheets so daddy wouldnt find it. it was darling.

the best picture i could get on this bright sunday day...of course no one is looking! haha!
on the count of three...close your eyes!

in her shoes...

i couldnt help but take a picture of brookie in mom's shoes one day. she came down the stairs in them and was so cute. it made me think of the wonderful mom she will someday be and the little girl she will someday have. i love you baby!

fathers day (early)

so josh got home from work one night and brooklyn in her excited little voice...spilled the beans...she told daddy, "we got you a new phone today!" i was devastated. i thought to myself "yes, for once in our entire marriage josh will have no clue what he is getting for fathers day or his birthday!" i was so proud of myself. i had it all planned out and was so sneaky. and then brooklyn spoiled it. no more secrets for her cute body. well since daddy new we decided to give him all his presents early. brody made him a picture frame at school, brooklyn helped me make a mug for him, and mom got him the phone he has wanted forever. he finally convinced me that he needed it because as soon as they offer interviews you need to reply right away and he needed a phone that had the internet. well josh loved it, even if it was early.

puzzle day

with brody home all day again, i have had to be creative to keep him busy this summer. one day i had to get things done at home and so we had a puzzle day. i pulled out every puzzle we owned and set them up around different spots in our family room. the kids had to start at one puzzle and work their way around until they had finished all the puzzles. brooklyn gave up about half way through deciding that playing with her kitchen was much more fun. brody loved it though.

summer fun with homemade pizza night and floats

i found this recipe for homemade pizza and wanted to try it. it was surprisingly really good. the sauce was excellent. next time i would add grated mozzarella and more basil but it was yummy. the kids loved making their own pizzas and playing with the dough. the recipe if you want it is on southern livings website. and what else goes as good with pizza as root beer floats. yum!

cheesy faces at the tides game

to celebrate brody's last day of school we took him to a Tides game, something he had been asking to do for awhile. we actually had pretty good seats and it was a promotion night so the first 1000 fans got hats, hence the matchy-matchy! last year when we went the kids wanted to go home this time it was me that was wanting to go home. they loved it...even brookie did. we ate candy, drank pop, and ate more candy. while josh was getting some food i was sitting with the kids watching the game and in between one of the innings they were throwing out baseballs. well i thought what the heck i will stand up and try and catch one. well it came right to me but bounced out of my hands and into the seat in front of me. luckily we had a nice guy in front of us that gave it to brody. he was more than thrilled, but then brookie wanted one. she got one too...from the store! we had a great night together as a family.

brody end of school party

brody had a end of school party at his school the day after graduation. it was such a HOT day here. the kids loved every minute of it though and didnt seem to mind the heat. the school provided cotton candy, hot dogs, drinks, popcorn, popsicles, a clown making balloons, three bounce houses, splatter painting, tattoos, etc. we were there for almost three hours and the kids were wiped out when we got home. they had a blast and i loved watching them have so much fun together. brody is so good to his sister.

one cute little boy and one cute graduation ceremony

brody's graduation ceremony from preschool

brooklyn patiently waited for it to start by doing Barbie's hair (her favorite thing to do besides doing mom's hair) and of course...Barbie is always naked. i guess we need to work on the modesty thing a bit!

walking in

they sang songs that they had been working on so hard

here's brody just before his name is called to get his "diploma"

Brody Bingham

he was so excited he ran back to his seat while i screamed "Go Brody"
i love being my kids biggest cheerleader!

he looked so handsome in his new outfit

walking out

we loved having Ms. Charlotte and Ms. Sylvia this year. they taught brody so much and he just blossomed. it amazes me to see how much he has grown in a year. we will surely miss them next year.

we tried to get a family pic but as you can see this was the best we got....with my skirt pulled up for the camera and everything! aghh!

his teachers made him this special memory book with pictures of him throughout the school year and with special memories he had. he loved looking at it right when we got home.

silly brookie being brookie!
