brody's words

"Mom, Kate keeps blessuing this morning!"

our green day

st. patrick's day was very relaxing for all of us. earlier in the week we made our traps hoping to catch the lephracaun this year....but no so luck! he did leave a big mess though (all the furniture upside down, footprints, green food and milk, and a treasure hunt to find goodies)! one of the clues for the treasure hunt was "mommy wears this every night...its red and soft"...well i have a red robe i wear at night and when the clue was read brooklyn said, "i know, i know...mommy's carpet dress!" too cute!

Sunday

seven years

seven years ago today i married my best friend for time and all eternity in the Holy House of the Lord. he is my everything. i am the luckiest woman in the world to have a love as ours. i am so grateful to a Father in Heaven who blessed me with josh. i depend on him so much and he does everything he can to make me happy. he is my better half and makes me want to do all i can to be better. i truly could not live without him in my life. i love him with all my heart and i will love him forever and ever. today he has to work and is on call tonight so although we are apart for the day i will be thinking of him every second of it. i love you so much honey. thank you for marrying me. thank you for loving me despite my many weaknesses. you are my one and only love.

Match Day was AMAZING! EVMS does match day as a theme every year and everyone dresses up in costumes and does skits on the stage. i was not looking forward to this for the past three years and when we found out that our theme was the 90's...i was even less thrilled. however i was wrong, it was a lot of fun being dressed up and watching all the skits, costumes, dancing to music, etc. it was crazy and so loud but so much fun. we were all so happy to be all together. opening our letter was a moment i will never forget. it was so exciting and we feel so blessed. or should i say we feel so humbled to get the opportunity to go to our number one choice for orthopaedics. our Heavenly Father blesses us so much. we are so excited to be moving closer to family and to be moving where the church is stronger for our kids. we are nervous for all that residency requires but we know that this is the best program for our family and we know that Heavenly Father with continue to watch over us on our path to finishing. Congratulations to my amazing husband for all your hard work and accomplishing your goals. and Congratulations to all our fellow LDS friends....we will miss you all so much (but thats another post for another time).

Friday

today's the day...

st. patrick's day crafts

with all this time home i needed to keep the kids busy with inside activities so we made necklaces, stuck our st. patrick's day clingies on the window, colored, and made a craft for our own home and for brody's teachers.

holding our head up

barely two weeks old and holding our head up...so strong!

a sunny day

after my mom left it was back to reality for me. brody and brooklyn were the best little kids ever, letting me rest in the afternoons after picking brody up from school. Heavenly Father really blessed me with energy and a quick recovery. josh was wonderful helping in any way he could. one sunny day, josh had the day off so we decided to head to the botanical gardens for a picnic. the kids had fun getting out and running off some energy. we saw turtles and played on the swings, enjoyed the fresh air and blossoms, had rolling races and saw an eagle high up in the trees. it was a great day to be with daddy.

kate's adventures: week one

having my mom here was as always...the best! she cooked, cleaned, managed my home while i slept and recovered. as is tradition she gives the first bath to our babies and kate did not like it very much. brody and brooklyn watched kate sleep and laughed when she would poop or spit up. kate would dream and smile and on the night before my mom left she was wide awake and gave my mom her first big smile. it was darling. she has been a great little girl so far.
